I was lied to. They told me I could get a discount if I got the protection plan active for one month. Turns out I can't cancel the protection plan before 6 months!!!!! SCAM!!!

Do not give Geek Squad any business. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen! We had purchased the cell phone protection plan. They bill you $13/mth then after you've paid into it for 2 years($312) then you also have to pay $100 deductible to get a USED REFURBISHED phone that they send you. I am having problems with the phone, they sent a pink gold and white phone... You cannot even pick the color of the crappy phone they send you.... Read more

Bought a phone through Best Buy, phone had normal wear and tear damage. The charging unit is loose and my phone charges on and off. They want me to send my phone away for a week and leave me with out a phone and charge me for the damage. They want to charge me almost $800 to send a new one then refund me once they figure out the problem. Like heck I'm letting them charge me anymore money!. I bought a Geek Squad protection plan at BestBuy for my daughter's iphone. When i need to use the insurance i called Geek Squad and they informed me the deductible was $350! I was paying $8.49 per month for 12 months for a total of $101.88. The phone was only worth $325 at the time of the damage. They told me that my lap top was a software issue and tried to sell me their plan, sent it to toshiba, they said its a hardware problem and they're fixing it free - Geeks are more worried about up charging you than finding the solution

They came out to repair our dryer. They have not parts and charge $99 to simply complete their evaluation and tell you what is wrong. OK. Understood. They said that they could get the part and come back in exactly 7 days. Low and behold, they rescheduled the appointment without my notification for a completely different day a week later. So, it takes two weeks to get a part that I looked up on the internet and can be delivered in 24 hours.... Read more

I got Geek Squad thinking they would be helpful, however, this situation has left me very dissapointed and frustrated. I broke my phone screen and went straight to my local Best Buy and they assured me I just had to call the Geek Squad number and they would sort me out with a new iPhone. After talking to 3 different customer service agents there was no budging, I had to pay and 100$ fee to get a NEW replacement phone. Seeing as it is 100$ to fix... Read more

I have a contract with Geek Squad - good luck, if you have a problem other than the standard virus removal, they choke. Also- customer service is terrible - they try to mandate all go through their appointment system which is a nightmare - try maneuvering through their animated phone system - they do all they can to make you hang up.... very disappointed

My experience with the Geek Squad Call Centre revealed them to be disorganized, uninformed, and generally unhelpful. After 90 minutes and three different employees at Geek Squad Canada, I was informed that to get my screen replaced (single crack - fell on concert) there would be a $113 deductible, and then later told it was actually $105 deductible. I am already paying $13 per month for 2 yrs of coverage totalling $312 (iPhone 6S). No one... Read more
